Children
We provide individualized, one-on-one, evidence-based literacy intervention for children and teens, targeting reading, spelling, and writing.
Each program is:
Designed and monitored by our clinical and educational psychologist and literacy specialist
Delivered by our literacy specialist or trained literacy interventionist
The program begins with an assessment of your child’s current skill level. Lessons are then carefully designed, paced, and adjusted to align with your child’s individual strengths and areas of need. Instruction is explicit, direct, sequential, structured, and multi-sensory, supporting skill development in reading, spelling, and writing.
Program Structure
One-on-one intervention
Twice per week
45-minute sessions
Instruction is fully individualized to your child’s specific literacy profile
The program includes ongoing progress monitoring, frequent assessment, and regular adjustments to ensure intervention remains responsive and effective. Due to this clinical model, many insurance plans provide coverage under psychology benefits; however, coverage varies by plan.
Term Commitment
The program is structured into defined terms across the year. Families commit to a minimum of one full year of intervention, which includes:
Fall Term: 24 sessions (September–December)
Winter Term: 24 sessions (January–April)
Spring Term: 12 sessions (May–June)
A summer term (July–August) is optional and subject to availability, as spots are limited.
Progress Reporting & Continuity of Care
At the end of each term, families receive a progress report outlining:
Skill growth and progress
Ongoing areas of need
Recommendations for next steps
Once enrolled, families retain their place in the program unless intervention is no longer clinically indicated or the family chooses to discontinue services.
